Head of Business Development

You will be joining Mental Health Concern & Insight IAPT, both are leading providers of a wide range of specialist mental health services and employee wellbeing programmes. Established for over 30 years; we work in partnership with the NHS and local authorities to deliver a range of community-based services and psychological therapies.

This role is home based with regular travel to the North East and throughout the UK.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer as part of the commercial team, you will be responsible for all business development activity across the organisation, including (but not limited to):

  • Ownership of the end-to-end business development lifecycle
  • Leadership of all contract acquisition, retention and maximisation activity
  • Ownership of a contract management dashboard
  • Identification of short, medium & long-term commercial development opportunities including revenue diversification
  • Embedding social value into all commercial development decisions
  • Ensuring the development of services and contracts are sustainable for the long-term future of the charity

About you

We would love to hear from you, if you possess the following:

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent career experience
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior business development role.
  • Experience of managing the full business development cycle including commercial modelling and tender management.
  • Experience of revenues diversification to deliver financial sustainability
  • Well-developed influencing, negotiation and presentation skills
