Jubilee Mews

24-hour specialist nursing service

What we do and how we help

Mental Health Concern’s 24-hour specialist nursing services focus on individual needs and aspirations in the community. Adult Services are responsive and effective and will work flexibly to support an individual to transition into a community setting. We have a skilled workforce of mental health nurses and support workers, who are able to work with people at all stages of their recovery journey.

We often work with people who have spent long periods of time in specialist hospital secure units and have multiple complex needs, including personality difficulties, psychosis, substance misuse, and forensic histories. Our teams have built capacity to work with people who have experienced trauma in their lives and can present with behaviours that challenge. We understand that every behaviour is an expression of unmet need; we work hard with people to build helpful and trusting relationships, and we offer the stability and consistency which they may not have previously experienced. Our staff are compassionate and are able to hold the hope for people when they are unable to feel hopeful for themselves.

Due to our level of expertise, we now work with people at an earlier stage of their recovery, where previously they may have been supported in an inpatient environment. We work in the least restrictive way and collaborate closely with the individual and other professionals to offer ‘just enough’ support, so that people can take the risks they need to in order to reach their potential and flourish in life.
